I hope that everyone got a great start in the new 2017 year. I just wanted to take some time reflect on the experiences that 2016 has provided and share how they have shaped me and how my character has developed through these last 365 days.
I always had a strong sense of motivation to accomplish my long term goals, but as 2016 came to an end, and I got to reflect more on how I had changed. Going into 2016, I wondered what the year had in store me; I realize now that the year didn't have anything in store for me. Each experience, each moment, and each memory was one that I created, because I am the master of my life. I created so many scenarios, both good and bad, and I am truly grateful for each one of them, because each provided a lesson to be learned and path to get better. But more than anything, I realized that my conviction in pursuing my goals wasn't at its maximum. I understand now that when I have to goal to reach, I have to be incredibly focused on achieving it, and that I must treat each day and each experience as new chance to progress towards it. So I decided a few days before new year's, that each day that I am alive and have a chance to reach my goal, is a good day. Every day is an opportunity to excel in life, and if I truly want to achieve my goal, i have to be this obsessed with it. So that is what I will be.
From now on, everyday will be a good day, and I will make sure it is. Because everyday, I will have a new chance to work to reach my ultimate goal. That is my new years resolution. 2017, here I come.
