It is phenomenal how each field of science, though completely different, has application into another field. As I worked on my original work (which will be uploaded shortly) last week, I realized how closely what I was learning in physics is associated with what I am doing for the medical field. Seeing the correlation between two different fields in simple tasks showed me how integral all aspects of science really are.
For my original work, I was focused on designing a crutch that would be more comfortable and less painful for patients to use. As I worked on designing this, I found it remarkable how each part of the crutch I was making had improvised functions due to the way it distribute forces, tok in energy, or etc. These were all concepts I had learned recently in AP Physics 2, so to see that they were applicable even when designing a crutch was really an eye opening experience.
I am glad I have taken so many science-oriented classes, as each one has shown me in a different way how the world works. Realizing this gave a lot more power to the phrase “Everything is connected”.
