The Opportunity of Showcase

This previous week, I had the privilege of participating in ISM”s Research Showcase. This was an opportunity for ISM students across the district to display all the work they have done so far this year. It was mind blowing getting to walk through all the exhibits and seeing what my peers were doing in their respective fields.

For this event, I had my tri-fold set up on the table surrounded with my props, original work, and portfolio as shown in the picture. This allowed me to draw in massive crowds of people, as I spent the entirety of the two hour presentation speaking to people about my field and all the research I had done in it. Through my presentation, it was phenomenal seeing how I fascinated the numerous viewers that came to observe my board. I was able to really expand upon ideas that interested me and in doing so, I sparked great conversations. This event also allowed me to gain much insight on how to improve my projects and expand my knowledge. I greatly look forward to FPN and hope that it will provide a similar, if not better, experience.
